CineDreams International Film Festival Mumbai 2026 Concludes Successfully with Grand Award Ceremony
CineDreams International Film Festival successfully concluded its grand Award Function on 14th May 2026 at PVR LIDO Cinema.
The ceremony began with a heartfelt tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Everyone present observed a two-minute silence in her memory and paid their sincere respects. The National Anthem followed, creating an atmosphere filled with pride and emotion.
Audi No. 3 of PVR LIDO Cinema was packed with people from the film fraternity. The auditorium was completely full, with some guests even standing to witness the event. Happiness and enthusiasm could be seen on every face.
Festival Director Parag Chahpeker warmly welcomed all the guests and thanked them for their trust and support towards CineDreams International Film Festival. He then invited the Founder and Organiser of the festival, Ayub Khan, to address the audience.
Mr. Ayub Khan appeared emotional yet extremely happy while speaking to the audience. He thanked all the guests and participants for believing in the festival and submitting their films. He said,“You all have trusted CineDreams International Film Festival by submitting your films and supporting us. I will never allow this trust to break. This festival cannot be organized by me alone. If I am standing here today, it is because of my entire team, my Board Members, and Jury Members, many of whom are renowned personalities from Bollywood. Their experience and support are beyond words. Still, if we have made any mistakes or shortcomings, I sincerely apologize. And now, with your permission, let us begin this Award Function.”
The audience responded with loud applause, and the Award Ceremony officially began. Anchor Shwetta Padda and the festival’s Creative Director Saikat Das jointly hosted the evening and started announcing the award winners one by one.
The grand event was attended by several well-known personalities from Bollywood and the entertainment industry including Mr. Herachand Dand of Madhu Entertainment, Rais Ahmad (CMD of RASSAZ Groups), Director Anil Dubey, actor Aashit Chatterjee, Director Rajeev Choudhary, and CineDreams Festival Director Parag Chhapekar.
The event saw the presence of several celebrities including Sakshi Pradhan, Parleen Gill, Himanshu Malhotra, Mohit Malhotra, Chaitali Kohli, Heital Puniwala, Pallavi Purohit, Ssujata Mehta, Rinhee Subberwal, Sujoy Mukherjee and Rohit Bose Roy.
Anup Jalota received award for best actor for Bharat Desh Hai Mera which was received by director Adarsh Jain and Rohit Roy received award for short film Hunar directed by Sujoy Mukherjee. Rajesh Ranshinage received the award on behalf of actress wife Indira Krishnan.
During the ceremony, the award distribution was paused briefly as Mr. Ayub Khan was once again invited onto the stage. He surprised everyone by announcing a new international festival by his company called Cine Bengal International Film Festival, which will be held on 25th and 26th November in Kolkata at PVR Cinema.
He further mentioned that just as his company had successfully organized Lucknow International Film Festival on 14th and 15th April at Saharaganj PVR Cinema, this would become the company’s third major festival. He invited filmmakers and artists to submit their Feature Films, Short Films, Documentary Films, OTT Films, Music Albums, Ad Films, and Independent Singing Videos for the upcoming festival.
The Award Function continued successfully with great enthusiasm. Winners happily received their trophies and honors. After the event concluded, many participants and celebrities interacted with the media and congratulated Ayub Khan, the founder and organizer and his entire team for organizing such a successful and memorable event.
