Actor Sahil Balani, who plays the role of Dilip Jadhav in Rahul Kumar Tewary & Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that true friends are rare to find. However, he adds that when one finds such friends, one should never let them go.

“I believe that friendship is crucial both in my on-screen and off-screen life. With your best friends, you can truly be yourself without the fear of being judged. People may change over time, but a strong friendship remains constant. My on-screen character, Dilip, shares this value for friendship. He is heavily influenced by his best friend, Chitti, and due to his immaturity, he struggles to differentiate between right and wrong. Regardless of the consequences, he follows his friend's advice, believing that ‘Bhai Ne Boldiya’ my friend told me to do it),” he says.

Talking about his best friends, he says, “My best friends have always been incredibly supportive, both financially and emotionally. The best quality they possess is allowing me to be myself—I don’t have to overthink anything when I’m with them.”

He adds, “On set, my close friends—Aai, Juhi, and Sailee—bring me happiness, confidence, and positive motivation. Their presence is a great source of support.”

He adds that true friendship does not need any extra care. “True friendships don’t need constant maintenance; they are built on trust and understanding. We know that no matter what, we are just a phone call away. Even if we aren’t in touch for a long time, whenever we reconnect, it feels like no time has passed,” he says.

He adds, “One of the biggest reasons for my personal and professional growth is my friends. I still remember that after my last show, I was unemployed for more than 1.5 years. There were times when I had no money and couldn’t pay my rent for 2-3 months. But my friends kept me motivated, supported me financially, never judged me, and never left my side. They made me feel like family and were always there for me. Who I am today is largely because of their unwavering support.”
