Young Storyteller Extraordinaire: Kushagra Shukla, Lucknow’s Budding Author, Pens His First Book!

This child author is only three years old, but he already figures in the list of India's youngest authors! Inspired by Lucknow's rich tapestry of stories and legends, Kushagra wrote his first storybook, The Real Friend, published on Bookalooza.com in 2023. He conceived the entire story and then wrote every page himself, with a little help from his father in transcribing it. Even the cover art is his own, painted in bright watercolours. Kushagra's book captures not only his early artistic flair but also his love for storytelling, another of the many promising signs of this little star's journey.

Kushagra, conceived in July 2020 amidst a pandemic, is a spark in his family. Amidst those early trials and tribulations, his father groomed him to a world of great music and creativity. His interest spanned stories to the healthy eating area- Kushagra already loves his green vegetables! And the father-son journey continues to blossom and create memories that inspire Kushagra's unique path.

Now four years old, Kushagra lights up the Lucknow neighborhood with his zest for life. His childhood is spent out in the open and amidst close-knit family members, who especially spend more time with his grandmother; she has often been spotted accompanying him to the park. Wielding a playful spirit, and sporting long hair to match, Kushagra looks forward to having fun discovering all the treasures around him and sometimes pulling at the shoots of tall trees for his mother, which has left her grinning most of the times.

A Traditional Twist: Little Kushagra’s Love for Classic Lucknowi Kurtas

At an age of just one, Kushagra remembers going along with his father to historic Chhangamal stores of Hazratganj in Lucknow to select the classic white kurtas. This was one way how the traditional clothes of Lucknow city had become nearer to him. At such a young age, his modern English medium education kept in balance the rich heritage of his family culture.

Kushagra Shukla’s Toy Box: Sparking Curiosity and STEM Learning

Learning isn't only cool-it's also learning taught with Kushagra's arsenal of toys. The last thing he got into was his Blix Queaky; this is a STEM-type toy teaching him about circuitry involving electricity and how it moves as energy. Now, at this young age, science begins to drive his fascination through discovery-whether RGB prisms that glow brightly or a collection of toy dinosaurs at bedtime.
